Open Letter to the Mainstream Media on Sarah Palin
Dear Mainstream Media:
Sarah Palin doesn't want you following her around, so, don't do it. I'm calling on you to call her bluff and stop covering her campaign...er...family bus tour.
In an interview with Fox News' Greta Van Susteren, the ex-Governor of Alaska said, essentially, that she was not going to tell the media where she was going or be traditional in her media approach to the bus tour. Thus, the media would just have to figure out where she was headed on its own.
I say, don't bother. If she truly wanted the coverage, she would do what every other political figure in the world does and tell you where she was going to go and do. She says that she hopes her approach makes the media go deeper for stories. I say, put her story deep...in the trash bin.
After all, who really cares what the former half term Governor of the nation's 47th most populated state thinks anyway. Her qualifications for national office are scant, and she has seen her negatives exceed her positives in the public eye.
Still, the media trails behind the bus and covers her trips as if they were important. They aren't. Palin is getting exactly what she wants out of a mainstream media that she does not respect. Her public statements have included disparaging words about mainstream press, and she continues to shun sit down interviews and refuse talk show appearances...unless they are with her employer, Fox News.
So, I say, to the media, let's do what she asks. After this day, unless she announces a run for President, I will not mention or talk about Sarah Palin. She doesn't want coverage, and this blog isn't going to give it to her. So, please join my lead in boycotting coverage of Mrs. Palin and her campaign-by-non-campaigning for President.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

P.S.-Can someone cover why Frank Vogel has not been named head coach of the Indiana Pacers, yet? Some pressure on Larry Bird would be nice.
