Goldsmith Messing Up New York Now

The Indianapolis Times' Constable Terry Burns reports that New York is finding out that former Indianapolis Mayor Steve Goldsmith, a key adviser to Greg Ballard, isn't all he's cracked up to be.

Goldsmith has been a Deputy Mayor in New York under Michael Bloomberg for a few months now in charge of operations. Looks like he may be on his way back to the classroom soon if things don't improve.

If I recall correctly, snow removal was a major problem when Goldsmith was Mayor of Indianapolis. He and Mitch Roob decided that they could save money by using trash trucks to push snow and not buy or replace new trucks.

Guess they didn't think of the logistical nightmare this would create with both trash removal and snow needing to be done at the same time.

Needless to say I recall several negative stories about poor snow removal response and trash piling up for days.
