President Barack Obama announced tonight that former Indiana Secretary of State Joe Hogsett has been nominated to be the next U.S. Attorney for Indiana. Hogsett will need confirmation by the United States Senate before he is able to take the job.

I'm proud to call Joe Hogsett my friend, and I heartily congratulate him on his nomination to this post. He will do a great job!
