The Marion County Democratic Party sent out a release from AFSCME Council 62 regarding the arrangements for Lettie Oliver. Here is that information:
We lost a great friend when labor leader Lettie Oliver passed away earlier this week. For those who knew Lettie, we thought you'd like to get the latest on visitation and services.
The family has worked out the following details for Lettie’s home going services:
They would prefer donations to the “L. Oliver Family- Memorial Trust” in lieu of flowers and they can be addressed to Council 62 at 1424 N. Pennsylvania St., Indianapolis 46202 or Tehea Harding’s home address (6114 Cheshire Rd, Indpls., 46241) at this time.
The viewing will be at Crown Hill Memorial Chapel on Thursday March 4, from 5 pm to 8 pm (700 W. 38th St. 46208 317-925-3800)
Service will be on Friday March 5, at Eastern Star Baptist Church (5750 E. 30th St, 46210 317-591-5050).
The doors will open at 10 am with the service beginning at 10:45 am – at which time the casket will be closed.
Following the service the family will have a private burial at Crown Hill Cemetery.
The repast will be at the IBEW 481 Union Hall at 1828 N. Meridian Street from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. at this time anyone that would like to share a memory of Lettie will be able to speak from the podium.
